Hello! Happy New Month!!!

Welcome to my Blog!!!
I’ve definitely missed writing out here. I’m glad I’m back. Enjoy!
A lot of times, I try to do things at a particular time or better put I plan to do things at a particular time; for instance, writing this piece took longer than I envisaged… Lol(Laughing out loud).
So, I plan to do things at a particular point in time but it just happens that I’m not doing that particular thing at that time; most times I’m doing another thing and some times, I’m just chilling and not killing myself.
So what exactly is this called?
Procrastination! You’ll have got this even from the first line, so why am I asking. Lol
(P.s. I use LOL a lot that someone even calls me Lolade)
Since we all know about procrastination, why then do we still procrastinate?
What is Procrastination?
Procrastination is you yielding to yourself. Everyone wants to do great things, everyone wants to achieve the insurmountable but it doesn’t get any tougher or easier than doing that small part of it as at the time it should be done.
Why do people procrastinate?

1. Some people, because they are Lazy. Laziness is a thief of time.
2. People aren’t just diligent and committed! They want awesome things but keep seeing a mountain when it’s time to take up the task.
3. No Accountability!
There’s no boss, no superior person or even themselves to whom they are accountable. They are bosses of themselves. This happens often with personal stuff.
4. Worrying and it’s adverse effect!
Why worry, when you can do the work! Worry takes away the peace of today and doesn’t solve the problems of tomorrow. Plus, it doesn’t make you present in the moment which is a key factor to productivity.
How can I overcome Procrastination?

1. Call yourself a Doer!
You achieve things first in the mind. So if you are strengthened in your mind that you can do overcome procrastination, then you can.
I call myself the Queen of getting it done and this mindset drives me into being productive and pushing hard even when I feel like sleeping.
2. Just do it!
You have a task at hand? Just do it, don’t even wait for the next hour. Do it now and here.
3. Journal
It helps to clear off your mind by writing. Either through typing, writing down in a book, using sticky notes!
You see your tasks clearly and are able to break them down into smaller chunks of work.
4. Be Accountable
To yourself, have an accountability partner, talk to someone you know you can trust, either ways stay accountable.
5. Learn to say NO
A lot of us think we are super heros and can do 10 things at the same time. Well, if you have assistants and those you can delegate the work to, why not.
Saying NO to tasks when we are in the midst of so much helps you declutter faster.
You can achieve this through your journal.
P.s. If you are an employee, you might want to talk to HR or your direct Boss if the work load isn’t making you as productive as you should be.
6. Have a To Do List
This is something everyone should have. It helps you analyse tasks for the day and mark off those that have been completed successfully.
Don’t go a day without having a to do list. It helps to measure productivity at the end of the day, week, month and probably year.

No one is perfect! Let’s all push ourselves to being better people! You are the best version of you! Push Procrastination behind you and get ahead and on with Life.
You achieve greater and better efficiency when you do things as at when due not in the heat of the hour or even minute!

Cheers to being MORE!!!
