Your best Shot

Most times decisions are hard to make not because we aren’t resolute about them but because our present circumstance doesn’t dictate the future of the consequence of that decision.

So most times I feel that when you are resolute about something, just take the move. The consequences may not be nice even immediately but it could have saved you from future indecisiveness that is being boxed in a situation you can’t get out of.

For instance
In a case where a person has the chance to resign at work when it was seeming that his contributions were always looked down upon and he was shoved aside.
This could be two ways;
He could have offers that pay lesser than his present place or no offer at all but a business idea in mind.

Due to the fear of the unknown and other uncertainties, this person decides to continue in this placement and doesn’t mind so long as he’s getting his pay.

A day comes and the most senior boss goes through the record and finds out that this particular staff has in no way made any positive impact to the company which at this time was running at a loss and needed to cut off staffs.

The man’s appointment was terminated with a day’s notice and he was laid off with just a month’s additional salary to get himself together.

At this point he was lost for words and confused as the offer he had before had already been filled up and he was already past the age limit for entry into the kind of post he held before.
(This is just a fiction so if it applies to you it’s not connected to you).

Value cannot be terminated but where your value isn’t appreciated and utilised to the maximum, cautious effort to making it useful should be put in place and if otherwise, there would always be other better offers so long as value is in place.

So back to decisions, once you are resolute about that thing; be it getting a job, adding a skill, resigning from work, adding to your qualification, changing some attitudinal traits, etc, give it your best shot.

Get advise from people you trust and respect but don’t necessarily wait for validation of and from any man because in the end it’s still all about you.

So be brave, be strong, be courageous, be resolute yet calm on your decisions. Make proper findings and consultations and when you are sure of it.

Give it your best Shot.

It can only get better.
