What’s it about Awareness and the Symptomatic effect after…

Have you ever experienced some symptoms you discarded or shoved aside because you didn’t think much about them? Think about how the symptoms for pregnancy become a lot dominant in some women immediately they get the confirmation of pregnancy or how you don’t feel a pain as much till you receive an official diagnosis that an ailment exists.

There is a lesson bodily movements teach the human mind that can be translated to enhance the whole human experience. What you are aware of and acknowledge can amplify who you already are but haven’t been conscious of.

Think about a person always given to helping others organise something effectively. Once this person becomes aware and acknowledges that this is a gift and it can be honed, it gives full expression to all the symptoms of organisation she had earlier expressed but took lightly.

Let’s talk about self awareness

Self awareness is the conscious acknowledgement of one’s own character, feelings, motives, and desires. It is a cornerstone of psychological well-being and personal development.

A commonly reported experience is the phenomenon of seemingly becoming symptomatic, or experiencing existing symptoms more acutely, immediately after achieving a new level of awareness about a condition, pattern, psychological state.

The shift

Before awareness “kicks in,” symptoms or patterns often operate in the subconscious or pre-conscious mind. They may be normalized, minimized, or simply not integrated into the conscious narrative of one’s life. However, once awareness and acknowledgement kicks in, you know what happens.

How does this relate to you

The first thing to understand is that beyond what you are seeing as symptoms (not medical), what you tell yourself every time stays with you and you become symptomatic of those things unconsciously.

Beyond just looking out for things you unconsciously exhibit already, start telling yourself who you are and want to be as those words have a neurological effect to cause your mind to start producing symptoms akin to what you want.

Self awareness is important as it helps you see yourself in the good, great and not so good light and most importantly, spot out the gaps to help you become the person you desire.

Take time out to meet you. You’ll be surprised you didn’t know as much as you thought you did.
