The year was 2019 when I became conscious of the word Delusion. No one called it delulu then. It was an acquaintance of mine who just kept saying, ‘You are being delusional, you are delusional’ and as a Jesus babe that I am, I kept rejecting it. LOL
It’s 2023 and delusion is common parlance.
Delusion is actually a disorder where a person struggles to align the present reality to their perception of reality. People who have this disorder perceive things that regular people do not. Are their perceptions real? I can’t answer that, I don’t know.
One thing however that is constant is that they are removed from the natural state of things and express emotions on things that are not present. It could be picking up a fight because they think someone is out to get them, unusual irritability among others.

I think everyone needs a hint of delusion in their lives, not as an illness or to cause trouble with anyone but to think beyond their present realities and see themselves in places they can only dream of at present.
It will be an amazing feeling when you take a bet on yourself based on the possibilities you can only imagine and at least one of them turns out positive. The downside with de lulu (not the medical delusion) is that you live like you have become that person you see in your imagination whereas you aren’t.
It’s important to present yourself how you want to be perceived but it is also important to know when you are posing as someone you aren’t yet and passing the wrong notion.
Think about this:
You need help from people but those who might have helped you are looking up to you because of how you have presented yourself to them.
Don’t sell yourself short. It is wisdom however, to know when to abase and when to abound. Don’t live in the illusion of what you want to create and miss out on the opportunities and platforms that can foster the life you desire.
Envision the reality you want to see and work your way up to achieve it.
