What’s your demand?

If you passed through High School and didn’t come across the word demand, then you probably got ripped off of your fees, LOL. Demand as the term implies refers to the desire for something, to ask something of someone, and to expect feedback.

Demand is mostly used in a commandeering tone. It is mostly used by someone in a superior position who is requesting something but not begging for it. It feels almost like the person demanding knows that the request is inevitably possible and so just places a demand on it, so it can be released.

In other cases, the person making the demand might not be in a superior position. The person however understands that the supply and response to the demand is possible from whom it is demanded.

When you demand, it might come from a place of courage (you feel scared about it but know it is the right thing to do) but your standing to demand that particular thing shows you know you deserve it and you have put in the work to earn what you have demanded.

What then is your demand from life?

Fortune favors the bold is a phrase that puts a lot of emphasis on your demand. Life won’t give you the best gifts because you are shy, poor, and need to make a living. You get what you place a demand for in life.

I’ve seen people who transformed their lives all because they felt they deserved better and started working at getting better. It didn’t take too long before the results of taking a chance on themselves began to show. It is not magic, but a process. The point is they knew they deserved better and started making the demands for it.

Is there a place of luck in life?

Most assuredly. I believe that lucky moments happen and even when those moments occur, it only takes the bold and wise in heart to make the most out of it. Think about a time when you knew you had an opportunity right in front of you but you didn’t meet the requirements to go through with it and so lost it.

Luck and opportunities happen to the best of us, but because we haven’t placed a demand on life, we miss out on those chances that could change the trajectory of our lives.

You are either thinking too small or not even thinking of your future at all and so things keep passing you by. You wonder if there’s a curse over you or if you aren’t just as good as others. Hmmm.

It’s important to acknowledge your shortcomings. When you know better, you’ll do better. Place a demand on life. Write out those demands and set out actionable goals and plans to set them going. Do the work needed to set you right for those opportunities and things you are demanding.

Remember, nothing is too much to demand from Life. Your motive should however be constantly checked so you won’t keep chasing after things and miss out on important details of your life.

You get supplied with what you demand. Go big!

One response to “What’s your demand?”

  1. […] In what’s your demand? I said that you should place a demand on life and state exactly what you want out of life. It might be scary but don’t flinch at asking for what you know you truly deserve. […]
