This header reminds me a lot about High School Musical. It reminds me of my dear friend Vee who always made sure I got CDs of teenage series when they were out. I saw a lot of Gossip Girl episodes, Hannah Montana, and High School Musical. I was able to catch up fast when I saw them on Cable Network afterward.
My high school friend helped me stay in tune with what was really nice to see on TV during our breaks. That meant a lot for a young girl just understanding life – it felt like thank you for not leaving me out of some sweet details in your life that are beneficial to mine.
If the above made you nostalgic, then you should think about your current relationships and evaluate the people you call friends. This post isn’t about cutting friends off, it’s about holding them closer.
You can have so many friends but they might just be familiar people to you. I think everyone should have people in their lives they tell more than “I’m fine” to. Some friends can be connectors, some can be emotional supports, and others can be there to give you the necessary push you need to get to where you need to be.

Do you have people you can count on? Do the people you call friends think they can count on you? Are you a reliable friend?
Everyone cannot serve the same purpose in your life. You should not discard people because you feel they aren’t serving you as you would want them to at present. The major bane to friendship should be having values that align and not just transactional insights.
When you become friends with people because of who they are and have proven to be, you enjoy more than a ‘need-based’ relationship. You enjoy a true bond, you feel very much at peace that you have someone or people to share your biggest wins and your lowest moments with and there is little to no envious competition.
You weren’t created to be an Island. ‘Friendship hurt’ is a thing and should you have suffered hurt, you can still heal and meet amazing people. You haven’t met all the people in this world so why make a decision based on less than 1% of the world’s population?
You need people around you – friends, family, your own core. Don’t miss out on all the greatness that can be spurred from the relationships you make. Share your bloom with someone and make their existence thank you for it.
You deserve amazing relationships.
