The world is fast moving on and those you spent your childhood with, and finished high school or university together are on different paths as life would avail them.
You all had dreams, big ambitions, and a vivid imagination of how your life after school would be. Your years of hard work will finally pay off and you all will be able to take those expensive trips and enjoy luxury you could only have fantasized about.
One year or more down the line, life is taking you on a different route. You see those guys and aren’t sure if you made the right life choices. Maybe you should just have taken those big-buck jobs and ditched following what you truly wanted. In a lot of cases, maybe you shouldn’t have answered the call.
You feel left out and stuck at a point. You are making progress but it doesn’t feel that way to you as you are looking outside to seek validation for the wins you are getting.

“This doesn’t look like the win my mates are getting. I definitely could have done better” you say.
There’s no clear-cut road or navigation for life. It’s a step-by-step process and no one is certain of how the final lap will be; we all just know to keep putting in the work and trust that our chosen paths will turn out as imagined.
So, why do you think you should have the same kind of life as others? It’s important to do a horizontal survey to ensure you aren’t lazing around but more importantly is the acknowledgment of the fact that everyone has their own path and there are different seasons in life.
Wanting to look exactly like someone you’ve known because you had a communal vision and ambition is a show of a lack of wit and confidence in your abilities. This would lead to ingratitude, comparison and not taking personal responsibility.
Success means different things to different people. Find what it means to you and give it your all to actualize it. God’s got you.
Everyone is on their lane in life. You aren’t missing out.
Thank you for reading.
