Welcome to September, the ninth month of the year. I like when I get to write to you on the first day of the month – makes me feel like I’m part of something really big even though I don’t know the exact details. 

New months come with so much hope and energy that can be put to good use if maximized effectively. 

What will make this month different from others is how much you are willing to do hard things, the amount of pain you are willing to go through, and how much you are willing to take your life in your own hands and run with it. (sounding motivational…winks)

I like to talk about how life is a choice and you can get so much out of life if you are willing to put in the right amount of work and do other necessary things.

However, I had an epiphany on seeing the flip of the coin called life – people who don’t have the basic things might not be able to choose to stand and fight for the life they desire. Could this be true? Could it be that choice is only an option when you have the means to create them?

I wouldn’t be too quick to give an answer to that but what I know is that when you don’t move, nothing moves and when you think you have nothing, you are lacking in gratitude and won’t be able to see the good in and around you.

My admonition for this new month and the rest of the year is that growth is hard and stagnation is hard, so which hard are you going to pick? Excuses abound, but would you let them stop you? 

What is it going to be for you this month? Business as usual or making decisions that contribute to the fulfillment of your goals?

Get to work. New month, new week and new day are all times for a fresh start. You don’t have to be perfect to start and honestly, there isn’t a ‘perfect time’ to start (It won’t ever come, lol). Just start already.

Let your one day, be day one.
