The right perceptions and perspectives do not just grow on you, you have to cultivate them and grow through them with discipline and resoluteness. I have come to realise that the wrong perspectives and perceptions can be difficult to move past and on the other hand, very easy to become a part of us; it is therefore important to guide how we interpret events, associations, words amidst other things that happen to us.
How you perceive things directly affects how you live. It is a popular saying that perspective is everything, so how you look at things and how you perceive them goes a long way into determining the quality of life that you get to live.
The things we struggle with, our fears, insecurities, limitations, are all products of how we view things and the perception that we have of them. This isn’t inborn, we learn about these things through association, socialisation and others.
There is no exact and clear cut rule everyone has to follow exactly. No, I’m not speaking about the Bible or the holy books you live by. I’m talking about man made rules that make us question and doubt ourselves and put us in a quest of never ending longing.
You ask yourself, will this search ever stop? When will I be good enough? Will I ever be good enough for … (you know who)?
You are enough and yeah, you probably need to take that course, sit with that mentor, get clarity on some decisions; if you do not however, have the right perspective as to why you should be doing these things or the end they will resolve in, you might just be going in circles.

This is your life and I personally believe God hasn’t orchestrated two persons’ lives in the same fashion. It’s important to seek God and get convictions on your path so you always have an in depth perspective and not just a generalised view.
It’s your choice to take your thoughts, your views, your specialties and navigate them to the right path for you. Even if people make choices for you, they wouldn’t experience them for you (they might see the benefits or consequences) so essentially, it’s you and your journey that matters.
It’s okay if you do not trust yourself enough yet. Don’t make big crazy decisions from the get go. Build yourself to consciously make rational smaller decisions amidst counsel available to you and work your way up to making great decisions for yourself.
Don’t take the easy route. A little stress helps unfold things you didn’t know you had in you. Do hard things, make tough but rewarding decisions. Be audacious and stand by your decisions. It’s better to make tough decisions and learn than live with the regret of playing it safe.
You’ve got this!
