Why you are not getting things done…

A lot of times, we know we have so much to do but we end up with a lot of excuses and disappointments because we couldn’t fulfill our tasks or complete our To-Do Lists.

This isn’t peculiar. We are all in this boat.

Here’s why I think you’re getting little or nothing done:

– You overthink things.
You are overthinking your tasks and this makes them seem ginormous in your mind. You keep putting them forward and will probably never get them done.

Stop overthinking and start doing.

– You keep doubting yourself and your value.
You are the Value. You might never get to do the things you are supposed to do, if you keep second guessing yourself.

Keep building yourself and while you’re doing that, get to the work you want to do in the process. It can serve as a testament to your experience later on.

– You are being in motion and not taking action.
Being in motion is about creating structures, strategies among others that should enhance your work.
Talk is cheap but doing is the real deal.
You keep telling yourself you are strategising and putting up structure whereas, you never get to actually do what you have strategised.

If this occurs constantly, help yourself by breaking down your tasks into bits and creating strategies around them as you move forward.

– Imposter Syndrome.
Cut it out, you are actually as amazing as you think you are and there isn’t gainsaying in that. You are gold. You’ve got this!

You would be surprised at how much people with half your skill can do with the confidence you lack in yourself

– You are burnt out
You probably really need to take a break, rest your mind from your usual activity and make a comeback to getting things done.

-Pressure from social media
You’re feeding your eyes with different people’s values and outputs through social media.
This may lead to trying to make a standard of what you want to do based on what you have seen.

Life is progressive and ideas are transient as well as getting generic. An idea that evokes in your mind this minute without you taking an action towards it has probably already been implemented by someone else.

This isn’t a call to hasty implementation. It’s a call to doing the things you have set out to do at the expected times. Time waits for no man; ideas wait for no man too.

Do what you have to do when you have to do it. That’s what makes all the difference.

You’ve got this!

I’m rooting for you.
